In the end, you take home a finished carved spoon – and a better understanding of material, tool and form.

From branch to spoon – with axe, knife & feel for the material.

In this advanced course, we go one step further:
From raw piece of wood to finished spoon – with axe & knife.

You should already have some experience in spoon carving, ideally having attended our beginner's course! Together we will deepen your understanding of the safe handling of axes, carving knives and spoon knives, learn how to properly read wood, prepare blanks and consciously carve shapes from the material.

As always, we work exclusively with regional wood from sustainable tree pruning and entirely without machines.

What you can expect:

– Advanced training in the use of axes, carving knives & spoon knives

– Preparation of the piece of wood from raw material

- Axes & spoon preforms

– Carving & Designing Your Spoon

– Exchange in small groups, with professional guidance
