Feel free to bring your own pocket knife or a normal kitchen knife up to 15 cm (no samurai swords, machetes or two-handed swords – please, thank you 😊)

Sharp tools begin with proper sharpening.
In this beginner's course, we will show you step by step how to carve your own spoon from a piece of wood using simple hand tools.
No prior knowledge is required – just curiosity, a love of the craft, and a little patience. Together we will learn how to safely handle carving knives and drawknives, develop a keen eye for the material, and how a unique object can be created from a raw piece of wood.
We work exclusively with regional wood from sustainable tree pruning and entirely without machines – for a calm, hands-on experience.
What you can expect:
– Overview of various abrasives & materials
– Fundamentals of dressing whetstones
– Creating a clean grind in simple steps
– Honing & resharpening the blade
– Practical work & individual exchange in a small group
